Day of shoes?

Ok so I love the look of different color shoes for the day of and since my girls dresses are Navy blue I thought it would be a great Idea to wear Navy blue shoes since it would match the colors of the wedding and also it can be y something blue ... however some of the people I am telling this too are saying 'well if you want to go against tradition, then go ahead' .. or 'What?? blue shoes??? for our wedding day???' ... obviously they have never seen how cool it looks! so now I am torn because I have White shoes already but i really want the blue!! what should I do ..

i originally wanted a different colored shoe also... but with my color dress, i felt that nothing would have looked very good with it.... so i stuck with the ivory shoes

also, yeah we think the colored shoes look awesome now but what about in 20 yrs?

My bridesmaids dresses are terracotta ( a darker shade of coral) Im wearing shoes that color. My mother turned her nose up! Do whatever YOU want! You cant always please everyone.

Here is a suggestion I am doing this too . I am wearing silver shoes for the ceremony and most of the reception. I am going to change into teal blue shoes when we do the garter toss because by then it's already the end of the night who cares.

I say do what you want and don't care what others think. I totally wanted to do silver shoes but I found a pair of ivory that I liked so that's what I went with. It's your wedding and you have to be the one that is happy so don't let what others say stop or influence you

i like the idea of colored shoes, mine are hot pink, i think its just my personality, and IM the one thats wearing them... plus the shoes are really only for the pictures, no ones really going to them anyway... i wouldnt let others sway your decision cuz you might end up wishing you wore colored ones....

ITA....do what makes you happy...people get crazy about tradition and cannot imagine doing anything else...

I have electric blue shoes and they are totally my personality...and in 20 years I am sure we are all gonna look back at what everyone wore during this point in time and be like what were we thinking!!!! So do as many things as you like to personalize!!!

I'm wearing color shoes! I love that little pop of color and no one will really see them too much....but I'll know! I'm not too stuck on any traditions and I would really my wedding to be as personal as possible.

I just like the traditional look better, so I voted for the white option. I'd rather save the fun shoes for a fun night out...in a short dress so people can actually appreciate the shoes.

i voted for navy. i wanted to wear a blue shoe myself but my mom almost fell on the floor when i mentioned it. so just not to cause too much of an argument i will give in & waste money on a pair of white shoes i will never wear again.

I am doing different color shoes and I got ALOT of feedback when I texted my bridal party and my mom a pick of my purple shoes. Only one BM liked them lol. Oh the things they said lol. I dont even care because for the first time I am doing what I want for the wedding and blocking out everyone's opinions because they are driving me crazy.

Do what you want and what makes you happy and block everyone else out! Did you find navy shoes or are you dying shoes to match the same color navy as your BM?

I am also doing colored shoes these girls here actually helped me find them..I have tried them on with my dress and feel so sexy and unique...who cares what anyone else thinks..It's your wedding do what you want!!

I'm personally wearing white shoes to match but I always like how the colors look. If you want to go for a fun color then I say go for it
