i think you should do what you want. if you are torn you can wear white shoes for the ceremony and change into your blue for the reception.

I like the idea of white shoes! I am more traditional I suppose! On the '08 boards there was a girl that had blue shoes and it looked really good, but it was more of a cobalt blue!

i like the idea of colored shoes!! im wearing silver ... and i have a friend at work who's getting married thats wearing hot pink ... nothing wrong with going against tradition ... it makes for a cool statement : )

I vote for white shoes. I've seen colored shoes with dresses and while it makes a dramatic effect I feel like it's very distracting from you and your dress (which are both much more important focal points than your shoes). I feel like there are times to buck tradition, but this isn't one of them. JMO, so do what you will, but I feel like it takes away from your very expensive gown and overall look. HTH!!
