My only real comment is this seems TOO planned out.

All im saying is you will be TOO bogged down with 'staying on time' that you wont be able to enjoy your day!!

I could not agree more.

Do you have a DOC? They will keep you on track. If not at the church they will get you going and your Matr'd will make sure that things flow at the reception.

When is have fun??
I say make timeline until ceremony start, then just let it happen, but let them know when u wants toasts and dances, mmeaning 'before apps' as apposed to '7:35' see what I mean?

Anyway, I'm dying to know, what's a tea ceremony?

Take a deep breath, step back and say to urself, its going to be amazing!

Re: Day Of Timeline Input pls!

Thanks Ladies!!!

I have to time it all out for my sanity!!! :)

Hahha. OK. Kidding. sort of.

I'm putting this together mainly to send it to all the vendors beforehand because most of them don't have a ton of experience with a lot of the traditions such as 'bridal pick up/door games' and tea ceremony. And there are outfit changes because of that so I can't just have the maitred spring on me 'it's tea ceremony time'!

And a lot of these traditions are notorious for running over so if I let everyone in my bridal party know beforehand roughly when everything should happen my MOH can make sure not to let the door games run over. (run on sentence much?)

I promise I won't cry and freak out if things run late. On the day of I'm giving the list to my MOH and trusting her and the venue to make sure everything runs smoothly. :)

A tea ceremony is a traditional Chinese ceremony where the newlyweds serve tea to their elders as a sign of respect. Typically most brides wear a traditional QiPao (which I will be). In turn the newlyweds are welcomed into each others family and the elders give them a laisee (red envelope) for good luck. And in my family there is also jewelery given. Typically gold bracelets for the groom and necklaces/bracelets for the bride. The MOB typically gives the bride a gold dragon and pheonix bangle (there's a whole mythology tied into it).

So yes, it's more so my family and bridal party and vendors know what's going on because everyone's used to something just a little different.

I have always wanted a see a tea ceremony!!!!

I think the advice you were given about a DOC was spot on.

Based on your schedule I think you should do whatever it takes to get a DOC. Your MOH should be more focused on you: Fluffing your dress, getting you stuff, helping you pee (for me it was 3 times with her holding my dress).

But if you really are worried about the schedule, get a DOC. I think this is one place you must spend the money. This way you have a PROFESSIONAL taking care of the details. And you have a LOT of details.

Good luck sweetie!
