does anyone know of a day spa in midtown? i want to get a gift certificate for a friend for a massage, but i work in westchester so i have no clue.

Bliss is great. I think they have a location somewhere in the 50's. There is also The Red Door Salon at Saks.

I second the Red Door Salon at Saks - I got my mom a gift certificate for Mother's Day to the one in Huntington and it was absolutely wonderful! She loved it so much I heard about it for weeks on end!! I can't imagine the NYC location would be any different, so def. check it out!

I also would recommend the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon and Spa. It's my fav!! And I think you can order gift certificates online.

I actually prefer Metamorphosis Day Spa to the Red Door Salon - much smaller and more intimate.
