day three at daycare :0

hey girls-
since I always seem to send the ziggy clouds to this board, I wanted to share good stuff too

DAy three is today- day one, mon, I was working from home. Took her in, got her paperwork finalized, and took her into her classroom. There were 6 infants in this room but as of yesterday two of them graduated to the one year old room.

She is adjusting JUST FINE , thank you! ( well!) hehehe
loves looking at all the other kids who can crawl, walk, sit. Eating well, and, er ah, processing foods well.
Cried when I went to pick her up Mon and was cranky when daddy picked her up last night. But 530ish is the start of her witching hours. Fell asleep on the car ride home last night.
I changed her a little bit and put her in her crib. She didnt wake up until11pm!! TIRED from all that playing??? and then woke up at 520ish with a BIGGGG smile.

I guess it IS harder on the mommy.

The only thing I DONT like so far, is that when she is released to come home she tends to be a bit grimey. She has started baby food about 6 weeks ago and likes to **** her fingers in between spoonfuls so it gets a bit messy. I guess Im just a bit more anal about her being clean? besides, they have 3-4 others to worry about??/

so, I gave her a quick sponge bath and popped her into her crib.

Thats the update!
Thanks for your comments on her pics! I LOVE her red hair too and hope it sticks around!!

This posts gives me hope
I am so glad J likes her new daycare center.

You could request that they wipe her face a bit during the day. I am sure lots of Moms put in requests like that. I am also anal like that so I probably would.

Please keep us updated.

Phyl - the daycare experience may be a good one for Julianne. It is a good idea for children to interact with other kids. Luckily I have my Mom to watch Justin while I work, but he had no interaction with ohter children, which is why I rolled him into Mommy and Me classes. I think that is the best decision I ever made!

I was going to say the same thing as Heather...
I'm sure she loves the interaction with the other kids, and its good for her.

Glad she is doing so well!

Sounds great, Phyl!!! J is probably thrilled w/ the change of scenery!! We'll most likely end up sending Peanut to daycare - this is encouraging!

You must be so proud of her!

Phyl, I'm glad to hear that Juliann (sp?) adjusted to day care! I know it was a harder transformation for you. My sister went through the same thing, and I know I wll be going through it as well for 2 or 3 days a week.

But I found that with my nephew being in day care, he was more advanced then children the same age as him -- his vocabulary was quite large for a 2 year old and he learned things faster. Of course, he also became the world champion biter because that's what they did when they got p-o'd w/each other in class!

Don't worry, you're good days will outweigh your bad days!!

I'm so glad to hear things are going well. I dread the day when I'll have to take our little one to day care but this gives me hope. Thanks, I really needed to hear this.
