day time wedding regret?

So I was at the beginning very happy to be getting married outside during the day and I absolutely love my venue where the ceremony and reception will take place but now all these questions and regrets are going through me head... Like getting ready so early BC its 1130 ceremony and we are doing a reveal and pics before also will people have a good time and drink and dance during the day.
Any other brides feeling this way or have had day to,e weddings? Did you black out the roo, and close blinds so it felt like night??

Sorry so long

day time wedding regret?

I think day time weddings are great if that's what you want! I love the way the natural light looks in a venue too!! Does your venue still have the night open? It may be a little raise in price, but if you're that unhappysee what they can offer you!

day time wedding regret?

I had a day wedding and to be honest I do not regret. We got some amazing pictures bc it was daylight. I have seen people that had their ceremonies outside in the dark. Not the best lighting for pics. If you are really concerned with it ask if you can push it a 1-2 hrs later if it doesnt increase the cost.

day time wedding regret?

A few years ago my bff had a daytime wedding with roughly the same timeline as you. It was just as enjoyable as an evening wedding. People still drank and danced and enjoyed themselves. Also, since it was over early, they were able to have an after party, so some of us kept hanging out all night. Yes, I did have to get up before the sun to start getting ready, but it is what it is. The people that love you will enjoy your wedding no matter when it is.

day time wedding regret?

My wedding is the same time as yours so I now how you're feeling. Every so often I get a little twinge of uncertainty about it. But for me there were a few reasons that we chose to have a day time wedding so I just have to remind myself of them every so often!Like everyone else said, the people who love us and who we love will enjoy the wedding no matter what time it is!!

Re: day time wedding regret?

I have no regrets other then the time we had to start getting ready. The pictures were started at 10:30 am before it got to hot. The reception was over at 6 and about 30 of us went back to the hotel bar and continued the party until about 11:00. No regrets at all.

day time wedding regret?

I have an 11AM ceremony with a full mass and then a 1:00 cocktail followed by a 2-6pm reception. I DEF don't regret it or even question it. I wanted to be able to party all day with my friends and family. We also have a lot of kids and didn't want them to be cranky and whiney because of the hour. It is important for us to include them. FH & I have no problem having the party end at 6pm and start our HONEYMOON! We are looking forward to our time alone together that night and we leave for our honeymoon the next day early morning so it just made sense for us.

day time wedding regret?

I am having a daytime wedding myself after my sister had an extremely successful one a few years ago. 1030am ceremony and 12:30 cocktail hour- I'm looking forward to the party and then the after party! Plus, people don't have to feel like they NEED to stay at a hotel that night bc will have time to sober up. Plus our venue is on the water and I didn't want to miss the gorgeous views! Don't regret it... it will be amazing!

day time wedding regret?

I'm always in bed by 10 for the most party I'm such an old lady I get tired! So I'd be so afraid of being exhausted having a wedding ending so late at night. Inside the venue with the lighting and your dj it will be a party no matter how lighty it is outside. Don't worry!

day time wedding regret?

I'm having a daytime wedding, our ceremony starts at 11:30am. We are both Jewish, and being married by a Rabbi, so we couldn't have a Friday night or Saturday ceremony, because the Rabbi can't travel til sundown on Saturday (which, in May or June, can be at like 8-9pm). We could have decided on a Sunday night affair, but people have to go to work the next day, so I figured daytime affair gives them enough time to sleep it off. I also wanted a lot of natural light, as I don't like uplighting at all. Our venue has 3 walls of windows, and lots of natural light, so it'll be perfect for us.

I know it'll be a pain to get up early that morning, but I plan to be so excited, it'll be impossible to sleep the night before anyway!

I went to a daytime wedding in October with a similar timeline to yours and I had a blast! They had a great DJ and everyone danced the entire time! Your wedding will be wonderful!

Re: day time wedding regret?

I am doing a daytime wedding. I have to say I am cringing at having to wake up so early to do hair and make-up, but honestly, I know i'd be up that early anyway and I love having the nighttime with my guests, and the daylight for pictures!

Re: day time wedding regret?

I had my wedding outside and the ceremony was the same time as yours and around the same time of year. I can tell you the pictures and the day were amazing. Before getting married I had always said to myself that I wanted a night wedding but I have no regrets. In the end all that matters is that you are marrying the love of your life and get to celebrate it with all those closest to you both. And people will still have a great time no matter what time of day or night it is.

Don't have regrets just enjoy the entire experience.

Hope this helps.

day time wedding regret?

I am having a daytime wedding as well. We chose daytime wedding cause of cost orignially and also the time of year we are getting married we wanted light for pictures. I had some doubts like a fear of not getting up on time and being late lol. I like the fact that day weddings still carry on just like a night time wedding and you get to have an after party and its not crazy late so people won't be in a rush to go home.
