Day Weddings

For those of you having your wedding during the day (Sat. or Sunday Afternoons), are you guys planning anything afterwards? Like an after-party w/ the young crowd or another event for everyone or anything??

I'm having a day wedding and afterwards we are inviting everyone back to the hotel. The hotel we picked has a full bar and restaurant...so we'll just pick the party up there :)

Our bar at the hotel stays open a little late, but I have a feeling FH and I will just go back to the room and crash. We have an early flight the next day and when we're tired we've been known to go to bed at 9pm. So I think we'll just want to sleep.

Right now FH and I have not decided. May have some form of afterparty back at one of his family's houses since they will be out there. We will not be headed to honeymoon until prob tues or wed (since we are getting married sat of mem day weekend)

Me too... not sure if we want to go back to a hotel and have an afterparty there or rent a party bus and go out. I know I want to do something though.

we arent having a day wedding. We are getting married on Friday night (holiday weekend) and we are having an after party at the hotel bar probably

Im having a day wedding ( sat of mem day weekend) and it ends at 6pm. We may do something at the hotel afterwards.

we are having a sunday day wedding. Planning a welcome party saturday night and an after party sunday night back at the hotel for anyone staying. Nothing MAJOR sunday though, we will be wiped out! and would really like to spend that time together unwinding. maybe breakfast monday morning at the hotel and then off to HM hopefully!

we are also doing the rehersal as a lunch on sat afternoon. and something fun with our BP on friday night. its a wedding weekend! yay

I am having my wedding same day and time (except ours ends by 530)
our ceremony at church is 11am :)

We're having a Sat wedding - reception ending at 6pm. My parents have worked out a great budget and we're having an after party back at their house under a tent and on the patio wtih finger foods, snacks,drinks and music via ipod over speakers. They did it with my sisters and it was awesome! We're not overly wealthy but my mom sure can throw a party - she's an amazing planner, bargin shopper, nego. with vendors and DIYer!!! When she went with my dad to nego. the RH package & price she went in with a spreed sheet!!! But I'll hand it to her she got them to drop the pph, got tons of 'add ons' and even push back the start of the CH by an hour!!! The hotels will provide a stop at the house from RH for guests that want to go before it heads back to the hotel(enroute so no extra fees!!!). And from there I set up with 2 local taxi companies flat rate pick up/drop off from the house to the hotel for late night $4.50 a head. Although past experiences of my sisters weddings people stay up through the night into day and kept partying till Sunday night or they just past out for a few somewhere in the house (frat house style!!!) Its all too funny but I am very fortunate and excited we're able to do it!!!
