Re: day weddings
I am doing a 12:30-6. Don't know how my day is going to go just yet, but I will get up really early and take my pictures before the ceremony. I'm hoping to have at least two hours free.

Re: day weddings
I am doing a day wedding. Ceremony will be at 11:30 with reception following (we are getting married at our RH). The whole thing will be over at 5. I was not so excited about having a day wedding because of the time we will have to start getting ready (5:30 am, ugh gross) since we are doing pics before the creemony. But i know when it comes down to it, I am going to be so excited it won't matter how tired I am!
My MOH did a day wedding also, and it was beautiful and just as fancy as an evening wedding.

Re: day weddings
Ours is 11:30-5:30. We are breaking tradition and getting pictures out of the way before the ceremony so we can enjoy the rest of the day without that being a stress on us.

Re: day weddings
We had our wedding from 12:30 to 6:00 w/ guests arriving at 12:00 and the ceremony starting at 12:30. The early time frame worked out great for our guests, especially those who had to travel.
The only thing that I didn't like was that I was up really early that morning. I had make-up and hair come to the house at 6 and 6:30 in the morning and photo and video came at 8:30-9:00. We met about 10:00, 10:30 by the water before the ceremony to meet and take photos. If you are not meeting before hand to take photos, you won't have to start getting ready so early.
We partly met before the ceremony because we wanted to enjoy our cocktail hour, but in reality, we still took photos and didnt get to enjoy all of it. NO regrets though, it all worked out in the end and we allowed plenty of time to take pictures.
My advise to you would just be to listen to the people you hired and tell them your concerns about the time constaints. This is their profession and they know what time they need to start and what time photos should start ............along as they are reliable and are there the time they say they will be, you have nothing to worry about. Enjoy your day and let them to the worrying!!! That's what you hired them for. LOL! Good luck to you!

Re: day weddings
it is what it is i guess!!! the only other alternative would have been sunday night but then that has it's fall backs too.. friday nights too!!! i guess you can't win any way and unless you are lucky enough to have a saturday night, you gotta make the most of it. personally i'm excited!!! i doubt i would be able to sleep and most girls who get married at night with an afternoon church end up getting up WAY early anyway!!! so i kind of like the idea of being up and ready to get married :))))

Re: day weddings
my only requirement was that I got a saturday day wedding. I love them and think they are the greatest and then there's an afterparty to follow. I always knew I wanted a day wedding and so glad I got it. :)

Re: day weddings
my day is 12:30 - 6.
We are taking pictures at 10... so I am up at 5 getting ready! You won't want to miss your cocktail hour or reception so just do them before... I got over seeing my groom before I walked down the aisle- he still will love you all the same :)
