Does anyone have any reccomendations for private Daycare in the commack area? We are exploring all options and was looking for soemthing other than a center environment.

You mean like a single person or a home daycare set-up with a few children in it?
Just remember that if the person is not declaring the income you pay them then you cannot deducte the costs from your taxes and you get a $5K tax credit for daycare.

Thanks for the reminder....I would still want the person to be liscened thus I would be able to use my work's Child Care Flex spend account using pre-tax dollars.

my aunt has recommened a daycare center on calvert ave. to many of my friends who are pregnant. not the montesorri school. it may be called kiddie care or something like that. she works for the child care council of suffolk and the day care is in her building (an old school). i would recommend calling the child care council, they would be able to help you further.
