For all you march brides, I am not sure that you are aware that DST is a month earlier starting in March of 07. Also, it will end in Nov. instead of Oct. Pres, Bush passed a bill to extend DST to conserve energy. It may not be on your calendar because they are printed long in advance, but it is official. Check out offical gov't websites. Most of the halls I looked at were not even aware of this. This means that my Mar. 31st wedding will have sun until 7:30 instead of 6:30. This makes me feel better that at least my guests can enjoy the views at Land's End during the cocktail hour. I wounder if halls will extend their peak prices because of this?

Re: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME CHANGES NEXT YEAR
It starts on March 11 (mine and FH's dating anniversary) and ends on November 4th.
Looks like you will be getting an extra hour ! ! !
Seems like I just missed it. I don't really mind though. It would have been too close to my date for my body to readjust to the new time change.

The time falls back on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007 at 2am - the night of my wedding so we have an extra hour of daylight for pictures after church!!!

Damn am I the only one bummed about this I was hoping for more of a sunset feel at our ceremony and RH. It's going to be super bright still at 7PM in May Oh well, this might be the one circumstance that I hope it's not a sunny day!

I don't think that may is affected ( I could be totally wrong). I think the months bet march and nov stay the same and only March and Nov are getting an extra hour. Everything else stays as is.

Re: DAYLIGTH sAVINGS TIME CHANGES NEXT YEAR
For the May bride who was upset about the time change, MAy is not effected, the only difference from now on is that we wil have a few more weeks of later sunset in Mach and Nov.

You have no idea how much you just made my day! Thank you so much! Now maybe I will have a receiving line after all, I was so worried about it getting dark and not being able to take pics outside!

Re: DAYLIGTH sAVINGS TIME CHANGES NEXT YEAR
I am so suprised that more people are not aware of this. None of the catering halls knew and another thing the is catering halls did not mention is that in the month of March it is lent and on Fridays, some catholics tend to not eat meat. Of course, none of the halls mentioned that I looked at mentioned it, except Villa Lombardi's on the sound.
