For all you march brides, I am not sure that you are aware that DST is a month earlier starting in March of 07. Also, it will end in Nov. instead of Oct. Pres, Bush passed a bill to extend DST to conserve energy. It may not be on your calendar because they are printed long in advance, but it is official. Check out offical gov't websites. Most of the halls I looked at were not even aware of this. This means that my Mar. 31st wedding will have sun until 7:30 instead of 6:30. This makes me feel better that at least my guests can enjoy the views at Land's End during the cocktail hour. I wounder if halls will extend their peak prices because of this?

Did your catering halls even know about this? All of mine didn't, except for villa's

I actually had heard this last week. My FH and I went to see a photographer and he had said that we would have been getting married on Daylight savings, but now it is a week later. I had no clue.

Yay! An extra hour of sleep the night before my wedding when I'm scrambling to get everything organized!

I'm an 11/3/07 bride too and we just found out about this. It's pretty cool. Not only more light, but an extra hour for the after-party as well!

It starts on March 11 (mine and FH's dating anniversary) and ends on November 4th.

OK....I'm a little slow today...could someone please explain this to me b/c I'm planning a wedding in April. Weather.com wedding planner says typical sunset times for that day are at 6:37...does that mean its going to be at 7:37 now....or does it stay at 6:37???
