I am coming to NY for a week to take care of wedding plans and have been in contact with the band Paris about setting up a meeting, and they just sent me an email saying they were just scheduled for my date i was going to book when I got to NY in a few days...... anyone have information on good bands that aren't too expensive??

What price range are you looking for? I think bands are around 6-7k.

i'm sorry to hear that they're booked... there's a bunch of bands out there that are similar to paris... really depends on your price range.

what is your price range? my band cost $7,400 and it was an extra $800 for the Viennese hour.
They are called Voices. you can google voices band and they are located in Brooklyn. They are amazing.

My sister used Code Bleu for her wedding. I used Rhapsody. Both did an excellent job!

I am sorry to hear that...same thing happened with me with my videographer and it was so disappointing!!! I will say that I LOVED the band that played my Dec. wedding, they were amazing!!!! We went with Soul Revival and were so happy! I am sure that you could meet with Justin, the band leader, when you are in town. He was super nice and so helpful with everything. I highly recommend checking them out, they are really reasonably priced too! GL!!

oh man that s u c k s!!! i'm using a dj, so i'm not much help, just wanted to say i'm sorry that happened. it must be so frustrating not being able to go whenever you want to meet with vendors.

Same thing happened to me Paris was booked on my wedding day
I went with Franklin Wayne's band Vision which is similar to Paris

sorry it took me so long to respond- i posted that prior to going into work last night- thanks for the suggestions... i was trying to stay in the $6000 range (my FH was againsta band for a while because its so much more expensive than a dj)
i'll look into some of the bands you girls posted- THANKS

it is soo frustrating.. i kept having fears that the people i want to book are going to be booked by the time i meet with them - so i hope this is the only time it happens
