DC brides - please read

Oh my goodness Alison! You crazy girl! And I thought I was busy... well, at least you're doing fun stuff! I would love to hear about your dance classes and pilates (and also where you're getting your facial done - my girl just had a baby so she'll be out for a while).

Anyway, now that the weather is warming up, I think a dinner GTG at Sequoia's would be nice. I know, I know, it's such a pick-up place, but I like being by the water. It reminds me of home. Or, maybe we could do a lunch there on a Sunday. Just a thought....

Ooh...on the water, I love it! Sequoia's might be tough for a weeknight dinner, but how bout a Sunday brunch?? Would Sunday of Memorial Day work for people, or is everyone going to be out of town? Just a thought! Other good places on the water are Old Town Alexandria...or, if we're really adventurous, we could even trek up to the Inner Harbor at Baltimore (on a weekend, not a weeknight!).

I actually have my facials at L'Image in Fairfax. Happy to give you more info if you like. Hey, maybe you even want to join me sometime! Let me know!

Alison, holy cow, I am soooo far behind. I am ordering my ring next week. Keith's is already ordered. My invites came in yesterday and I made a bug, stupid mistake and am now getting the actual invite REPRINTED. I wasn't planning on sending them out until next week anyway. My shower is tomorrow on LI. I am excited, but it makes me nervous to think how close the big day is. Will I ever have enough time to pull it all together? Stay tuned....

I'm doing ok. Invites are out and we already have 86 YESES...Yikes! My shower is the weekend of the 17th in NY, and that weekend we also have our final meeting with Lands End to pick menu, cake, linens, and discuss all remaining details. Also meeting with our priest that weekend. It's gonna be busy! I can't believe we are only 2 months out now...where did the time go???

Definately let me know about L'Image Alison. I'm pretty picky about facialists. I have icky clogged pores and need every single one cleaned out. I hate when they aren't diligent enough with that part of the facial. And it would be fun to go together sometime. Ahhhhh... I love spas...

I would love to do the Inner Harbor. I've only been there like once. I wouldn't mind driving either if any VA girls want to carpool. But whoever gets stuck in the back seat will be a little squished .

Not sure how much you usually spend but the full facials at L'Image run around $75. I've been doing 'mini facials' ($45) just to save some $$ but am going to have another full one before the wedding.

The facial lady is named Yumi. I have an appt with her next Satuday (5/10) at 1 pm...let me know if you end up making an appt! If you do, can you tell them I referred you? I'm not sure if they'll do anything for that, but it can't hurt...

As for the GTG, just let me know what is planned. If I'm able to go, I am more than happy to carpool!
