Hello,

Has anyone had a wedding or been to one at the De Seversky Mansion???

How about The Woodlands???

Any Reviews??

I am really interested in these places, but since they are not 'regular' wedding halls I am worried that I will be stressing like crazy with every little detail...

I have been to a wedding at the DeSeversky Mansion, it was great!
Are you doing a mansion style wedding or traditional sit down?

Hello!!

Oh I am so happy to hear that it was a good wedding, my heart is really set on it. I am going on Thursday to bring my mom for a food tasting and have her see it for the first time...

The sit down is like any other wedding...

Mansion style (so I hear) is like a 5 hour long cocktail hour...

We only have 100 ppl so we are going to have the sit down... I prefer that better anyway... although I haven't been to either there...

I'm glad you found a place that you really love! Good Luck with your mom, I'm sure the food would be good. I actually have never heard of that hall. Sounds like a great place!

Ok I went to a wedding where they did a mansion style wedding at De Seversky and I was not a fan of it but to each their own.
Basically, you eat cocktail food for 1-2 hours then the rest of the night its drinking and dancing and there are no assigned seats so FH and I did not have seats, you are basically mingling and walking around the whole night.

Sit down would be the style that most catering halls do.

Yeah, I am definatly going with a Sit down... not Mansion... Sit down is more wedding like.

it is on the campus of NYIT... it is a historical mansion that they now took over.

I really liked it there but something in my gut made me not book. I think i was worried that the mansion style wedding wouldnt work out well bc i would have too many guests (about 220)
