Re: De-stress post: October brides check-in.
Well, let's see... In no particular order:
-finish invites and mail -buy shoes, veil, hair jewels -have fittings when dress comes in -decide on wedding bands -buy OOT gable boxes and all that goes in them -choose menu -buy paretns gifts -buy FH gift -finalize ceremony details and make programs -finalize reception details and make menu (including choosing cake) -make donation cards -decide on linens, flowers, lighting etc... -choose RD invite -make must play/do not play list -choose first dance song and take dance lessons -final meetings with all vendors
I know there's more, but those are the biggies on my mind right now. I had a meeting yesterday with my florist, my reception site and planner that went really well, so I'm feeling a little less overwhelemed by everything.

Re: De-stress post: October brides check-in.
I'll be in NY this weekend so this is what I will be doing while I'm there: Have hair trial Meet with Florist to see if we like centerpieces in our hall Meet with Larkfield to go over final details, pick cake, linens, etc. Order Tuxes Have Makeup trial Take Casual Day Pics. (and attend a wedding, all in one weekend)
Other things not happening this weekend:
Mail Invites (July 16th) DIY Projects: Make Photobox card holder OOT Bags Put Together favors Make Jordan Almond Packets Put together slipper basket Petal Cones Programs RD Invites Votive Placecards
FYI for anyone interested: We purchased our table cameras yesterday from Costco. We didn't care if they were wedding specific cameras, we wanted the cameras that would produce the best photos. They have the Kodak AutoFlash with 800 speed film. This way the flash has to be charged just once and it will work for the entire night. They have $1.25 instant rebate per 3 pack, so they work out to be around $12 for the 3 pack. Best deal we've seen so far.

Re: De-stress post: October brides check-in.
Well, I had a near meltdown last week when I almost had to change the entire wedding! They double booked my wedding time on the beach! Ugh!
Now that things are back on track, this is what I've taken care of this week...
Saturday - Met with ceremony/reception site to set them straight and make sure my day is perfect. Sunday - Finally found my wedding band Hair&Make-up - Moved up my time because I'm worried it will take too long Invites - Dropped off proof with corrections, they should be done in 2 weeks Limos - Booked transportation Flowers - Meeting tomorrow
Still To Do in July: Undergarments Fitting Shoes Accessories Tux for FH Lose a lot more weight Bridal Shower
I know I am forgetting something. This was supposed to help de-stress, right?

Re: De-stress post: October brides check-in.
I'm waiting for phase 1 of my invites. Because I'm a total nut, I decided to opt for envelopment invites. But instead of ordering from one place, I ordered the inside (invite, reception and response cards) and inner and outer envelopes from Invitations by Dawn. Now I have to go into the city for the envelopment itself as well as the backing paper.
I just got a call that my dress is in, but I won't go for fittings until August. I do have to purchase: -my shoes -my veil -my under garments for the dress And of course, I have to leave deposits with the hair and makeup people.
To top it off....by bridesmaids suck! OK I can't be totally mean, but no one has offered to help me with anything (except my fiance and my mom). And the Maid of Honor (my sister) lives in CA. So anyone wanna calm me down with happy thoughts?! Thanks....

Re: De-stress post: October brides check-in.
Here are the things that I still need to do before the big day;
I just finished invitations. I have to send the envelopes to be addressed by calligrapher, I have to make OOT baskets and bathroom baskets, mail out invites, go for hair trial, finish favors, and most of all finish paying all these vendors off.

Re: De-stress post: October brides check-in.
Hmm I think the most pressing is the Tuxes. I have to get FH to get them. We are working on the invites now, just so we don't have to do them all at once. Have to start getting the favor stuff together. Have our wedding bands sized. Finish prininting and working on the menus and table numbers. So much to do .. I can't believe how time is flying by.
