Deacon BOB!!!

woooo... So FH and I are having an interfaith wedding. I really wanted to have deacon bob, If i couldn't we would have had a rabbi/priest that work together. I wasnt sure if deacon bob usually blesses a wedding like this with a rabbi. I spoke with him and he does!!!!

It means a lot to me. I was in his youth group when I was younger and he was the priest that did my sisters funeral mass. He knows me which makes it special!!

I am so excited to meet with him tuesday!!

Anyone know what to expect the first time you meet the priest/deacon... even though its interfaith I am nervous. he is only blessing the marriage he wont actually marry us

When we met with ours (episcopalian) he just asked how long we had been together, did we have a home church and then just regular conversation.

I was nervous as well but he already had a 2011 calendar (last year) and put us in. Said we would meet again closer to the wedding to finalize everything.
