I just got the breaking news email from CNN. Of course they did it that way - they saw how outraged we were over the method last time. I hope they rot in hell these bastards.

Al Qaeda militants beheaded American hostage Paul Johnson, Al Arabiya television reported today. The network quoted its correspondent in Saudi Arabia who said he watched a video of the beheading. Al Qaeda had given the Saudi government a Friday deadline to free jailed militants or it would kill Johnson.

That is so horrible!! It makes me so mad
His poor wife--she was on TV last night pleading for his life. I can't even imagine the pain--
OH MY GODDDDDD this is how i am getting my news. i am too scared to go on to CNN. i may start bawling at my desk. i feel awful. i am sick to my stomach.

It's the Saudi Arabian government that is holding the prisoners in question. Either way though, as awful as it is, there's nothing to do. If you give into their demands, they're going to continue with this method since it works. Sort of like giving into a child throwing a temper tantrum. If it works, they're going to do it every time they want something.
Also, the State Department has been issuing warnings for almost a month to all Americans in Saudi Arabia to get out because it was unsafe. This guy decided to stay. Doesn't mean, obviously, he deserved to die but there wasn't much else our government could have done.

its really disgusting!! they really are animals! but my question is (sorry if im naive or dumb) if its the Saudis they want something from... why do they take an American?? why not take a Saudi? would the saudis do anything to save an American?

They take an American because we're the ones they're really fighting. We're the ones they hate. They think the Saudi government is in our pocket and will do whatever we want.
I'll tell you what else our government could've done, we could've found the animals who have been holding him for three days and stopped them. Oh, that's right--all the forces are too busy in Iraq to go around saving innocent American civilians.
