Thank you for making me work the day after Thanksgiving even though I put it in our calendar weeks ago that I will be out. I love how the entire department can be off (leaving me to do other people's work) but I need to be in just in case someone has a question. Really who is going to be asking me a question when everyone is at home relaxing with their family or shopping.

Dear Faculty Member,

Stomping your feet and screaming at me is not going to change my budget; my office can only sponsor $200 out of $300 of your class's trip. I don't think asking $2 per student is a terrible request. Stop saying I'm 'too bureaucratic.' If you knew me at all, you know that I would love to help your class more.

I gave you different phone numbers to people who have extra money in their budgets and said they would be HAPPY to work with you. Why do you insist it has to come out of mine? I'm not your administrative assistant so I should not have to do this extra research for you. Stop saying 'I have tenure' because I could care less.

No, my boss wants someone in the office. I'm not in work today and she told my co-worker the two of us need to decide who's working the day after Thanksgiving because she needs someone in the office in case someone has a question (BS if you ask me). And my co-worker as tickets to visit her sister who just found out she has Breast Cancer; how can I be mean and say no I won't work. So I'm going to tell my manager not to expect me to be there at 9 am, that's ridiculous. The director can deduct my pay, I don't care.
