I am sorry to hear that you have swine flu. I cannot, however, figure out why you chose to come into work today. I sat in a closed office with you on Thursday morning when you said it was 'just allergies.' Then I spent the holidays with my family, including my baby niece, my pregnant sister, and my dying uncle. Also, I have surgery scheduled for 2 weeks from Thursday. Could you BE any more INCONSIDERATE???
Regrettably yours,
ticked off lady down the hall.

Re: Dear _____
I swear if I get sick and can't have this surgery done, I WILL go into her office and kick her in the face. I mean I understand if you don't know that you have it at first. Happens. But when you KNOW you have something contagious, for the love of jefferson - STAY HOME!

i don't know if i can even do that... she's a senior atty, i'm junior. i did 'casually' mention it to a partner who has two little kids at home though and she looked rather alarmed, so i'm hoping she took care of it.
i definitely just pictured HR walking into her office with michael jackson beat it blaring on a boom box (oh yeah, on top of the shoulder and all).

Re: Dear _____
She's not allowed to be in work for 5 days. Its the precautionary stage. I would call HR and tell them because my HR is not allowing anyone with the flu to come in and I work for a corporation.

OMG! How inconsiderate can a person be? You should go buy a surgical mask and wear around her. Maybe she will get the hint!

You know what's weird? I've been so itchy on my hands and wrists lately that i slept with pounds of eucerin on my hands and those really thin cotton gloves last night. granted i woke up with gloves stuck in my hair, but my hands did feel a lot less itchy.... just food for thought.
