dear FH's family

i know most of you are from out of town, and won't be coming, so please end the suspense and send your RSVP back already. trust me, we won't be that offended. we just want to know one way or the other. and for those of you who have already let it slip to FMIL that you won't be coming - which really hurts her feelings - what are you waiting for??? we are not going to beg.

sincerely,

FH's bride who you will most likely never meet.

Dear weddingcakesonline.com Truck Driver,

I appreciate the fact that you are in a time-sensitive job, I really do. Not that 8:45am on a Thursday is necessarily 'Prime Time' for you or anything... And I appreciate that
Bridebrain + Ipod + rush hour = DANGER

So as my life flashed before my eyes today at the corner of 54th & Park, my final thought was:

'Geez, its going to look REALLY bad for your employer if your truck kills a bride-to-be.(ME)'

Of course all is forgiven if you were speeding to a wedding cake emergency.

Cheers

The same happened to us!! They RSVPed after the RSVP date and we ended up 5 under our minimum because 8 of them didn't come! Sooooo rude!

Thankfully you didn't get hurt!

Go figure--the weddingcakesonline guy almost runs over a bride-to-be!

Hey girls, can someone set me straight -- isn't this thread supposed to be a game where someone writes a 'Dear so and so' vent and we all chime in with 'dear xyz' vents and then we ALL feel better and no one gets hurt?
I've seen that on the other boards but maybe we don't play that here on '07??
<--- forgive me, I'm new here...

Signed,
the thread hijacker; making LIW all about ME, 1 post at a time...

Dearest BM's;

I am writing to you because on MY wedding day I would like ALL the women in my party to get there hair done at a salon(not grandmas house), preferably the same one in which I booked your apts. If there is a problem with this or any other wedding related issue(the dress alterations that no one wants to pay for), please hand in you RESIGNATION, IMMEDIATELY!

Thank-you and have a pleasant day,
Exhausted Bride.

PS- Please stop going to the Groom's Brother's Girlfriend and asking her if wedding related things are ok. I AM THE BRIDE.

I feel better already! I kinda want to send it out!

I'll keep it going, but this might be mean...

Dear Liwedings girls
Is it that big of a deal when someone goes out of their way at YOUR request to give info, or send you a template, or MAIL YOU a copy of a program that you so badly want and need to make your wedding stuff... to send a simple little FM to say thank you?
Sincerely
Overly helpful

Hmmm... I think I'm going to print your letter & send it my FH's family as well! We have the same situation. Most of them are from out of town & most of them said they weren't coming as soon as they got the STD's. Some have called since to say they changed their minds, but still we've only gotten 4 rsvp cards back from his family! Out of like 10

Ok I'll play

Dearest FMIL:

We change the month, the date, and added 15 more guests to the engagement party to make you happy. Then you to come to our engagement party without a gift. So does your daughter who proceeds to engage in a game of beer pong. This was not the time to share photos of your other son who eloped over 6 months before! Demanding my mother introduce her side of the family to your side is not your place. Oh and must I state the obvious your side of the party was over 80%. The DJ had the electric slide on the DO NOT PLAY LIST. We've put your daughter in our wedding party against our gut to stop your & her biitching & moaning. Then she & you wait till the day measurements are taken to tell us she has backed out. No worries I'll take the $100 hit for all the items I already purchased as a thank you gift. Don't come to the RD. It will be better without you! Please don't threaten us with sitting in a corner drinking by yourself on the day of the wedding. I do not need you to do a thing for me as the bride to be because the one thing I wanted I no longer care for...your love. Thank you for making the love and strength between your son and I so much stronger.

Love,
Moved on
P.S. We might be moving out of state after the wedding
Ohh that felt so good to get out! Thanks ladies.
