Good for you, stick to your guns, she's being selfish and she needs to be put in her place. Its you and your fiance's day, she needs to realize that.

I will also have some strangers at my wedding and plan to sit them in the corner/back,...they are not a priority. We want to look around the room and see our friends and family.

It has been a battle with every little decision. Ans she has the nerve to tell me 'what part of this weddiing has been what we picked?' SEriously, pretty much everything.

somehow my classic storybook romance theme now is all full of bling. Wonder how that happened?????

So sorry you are dealing with this. I had the same issues at my first wedding but my ex always took his Mom's side. Turned out to be nothing I wanted. Nice to hear he's on your side.

Yes he is onmy side. He was starting to cave but then I reminded him how important this was to him from day one and how everything has been manipulated to what she wants. She does this all the time, kicks and screams like a child to get her way. He is not budging now
