I love it when they say something and then pause, as if you're all-of-a-sudden going to respond. Then they remember that they're talking to a machine.

Exactly, or when they admit they're rambling, but to continue to carry on anyway.

OMG..you must have read my mind today...I hate it when people leave a message that if you actually thrown in some 'mmhmm, uhhhuh, and yeah' in, it can almost seem like you're having a conversation with your voicemail!
