Dear Mr. BLOOMBERG !!! aka MORON

Hi,
I am writing to you to tell you that it took me over an hour to get home from work today. The roads are treacherous and dangerous. You are nuts for keeping the NYC schools open tomorrow! So there was 2 snow days in 1 month WOOOO HOOOOO LOL We only had 3 snow days in 6 YEARS!!!!

May be when you look out of your pent house apartment there in no snow in the city but, if you come to Staten Island you will actually see REAL snow!!! I am sorry I do not have a limo to get chauffeured around I actually have to drive myself everywhere. There are no trains so I can walk either!! Get off your high and mighty horse and step into a real new yorkers high heels!

So what I am trying to say is you better think long and hard before you get in front of millions of people this evening on the news to tell them that the schools will be open tomorrow. The students and half of the teachers will not show up anyway so what is the point.

Love,
One of NY's Smartest

Very well said! I agree, I am not going to risk my life. I just hate to take the day though. I had an awful sub the last time it snowed. She dismissed my kids by leaving them outside alone (they are in 2nd grade). My room was sooo trashed.

that was an awesome letter.. I agree.. It took me and hour to get home when its only a 20 mintue ride. Most of kids stay home anyway when its bad out. So many parents came early to pick up there kids. We'll see what tomorrow brings I guess

Will he learn his lesson when one of his school buses gets into a terrible wreck???????????

How about if something horrible happens to his students as they walk to school, take public transportation or have their parents drive them to school.

I'm staying home tomorrow no matter what Bloomberg says..I was driving home after school today and some jerk hit my car when I was at a red light. There's no way I'm dealing with the stress tomorrow!

Part of the issue he's facing is that a lot of parents do not have other childcare options when the schools close. It's a sad but true reality.

Yeah im ok, thanks. Once you're in a bad accident, even the little ones upset me. I waited 2 hours for the cops and they didn't show up. The guy who hit me finally agreed to give me his info after 2 hrs so we could leave...He was refusing at first!

Apparently the little boy who slipped ont he ice and died when he slid under the school bus wasn't enough for him to cnsider... and this was like 2 days AFTER the last storm.

He's such a douche.

It was much worse int he city today, ittook my 90 minutes to drive 17 miles from Queens to Hofstra.
Another bunch of douches who didn't cancel evening classes.

MEanwhile, I love by St john's and THEY were closed.
