Dear Mr. BLOOMBERG !!! aka MORON

Original post by mikendeanna

Hi,
I am writing to you to tell you that it took me over an hour to get home from work today. The roads are treacherous and dangerous. You are nuts for keeping the NYC schools open tomorrow! So there was 2 snow days in 1 month WOOOO HOOOOO LOL We only had 3 snow days in 6 YEARS!!!!

May be when you look out of your pent house apartment there in no snow in the city but, if you come to Staten Island you will actually see REAL snow!!! I am sorry I do not have a limo to get chauffeured around I actually have to drive myself everywhere. There are no trains so I can walk either!! Get off your high and mighty horse and step into a real new yorkers high heels!

So what I am trying to say is you better think long and hard before you get in front of millions of people this evening on the news to tell them that the schools will be open tomorrow. The students and half of the teachers will not show up anyway so what is the point.

Love,
One of NY's Smartest

I'm staying home tomorrow no matter what Bloomberg says..I was driving home after school today and some jerk hit my car when I was at a red light. There's no way I'm dealing with the stress tomorrow!

ahhh! sorry to hear this. A truck hit me once when it was snowing so I have been afraid to drive ever since. I dont know if I'll go in tomorrow. I might just use one of my days up

Is it official? NYC will def. be open?

I'm wondering what my district will do...

Schools Are Open Tomorrow
While we continue to monitor the weather, all indications are that schools will be open tomorrow.

I don't get it....I live in Lindenhurst and work in Farmingdale and we have a snow day....it's raining here....it doesn't make sense....I feel bad for you guys knowing that you are getting a heck of a lot more snow than us! I'm so baffled by all of this!!

Oh that's terrible Cristina! I hate all the anxiety so I guess using a sick day is worth it in the end.

Bloomberg needs to wake up and smell the coffee! A lot of LI school districts are already on standby for tomorrow possibly being closed or having delayed openings. FH works for a school district and he got the call alerting him to be awake for any news of possible closings...

Meanwhile, it took me over 2 hours to drive from my job in midtown to south Nassau.and thats even w. an early departure of 4 pm at my firm. I have to go to court tomorrow and I've no idea how I will get there if the streets are really bad tomorrow...
