I love Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but they are very fattening. So I've switched back to my non-fat Caramel Macchiatto. But you keep BURNING it. My coffee tastes like dirt. Please make it right or I will be forced to go back to my delicious high-calorie treat and when my pants don't fit I'll be coming after YOU!

I do get it non-fat, but the thing is, it isn't COMPLETE without the whip, so it cancels the non-fat out. It's a vicious cycle!
It's actually not all Starbucks. It's just that the closest one to me is in a Barnes & Noble, and 50% of the time, they burn my coffee.
I just wish the Pumpkin Spice Lattes didn't taste so good! They're so hard to resist!

There's your problem...any Starbucks that is not a free standing unit is suspect.

B&N Starbucks is totally pseudo-Starbucks - just doesn't live up to the standard Starbuck's deliciousness

You could order your standard egg nog and ALSO order a short pumpkin spice - it is smaller than the tall so a good sample size. I do that when I want to try something new, so I don't 'waste' a trip to Starbucks if it is horrid.

It does taste like coffee - deep down in there - and if you are unaccustomed to coffee, it DEFINITELY tastes like coffee. It is like a cup of coffee with a TON of sugar and milk to hide the coffee taste. So egg not latte tastes like alot of sugar and milk and eggnog with a tinge of coffee taste/and or aftertaste.
Thus why I stick with Chai tea, no coffee taste at all! (and no coffee induced stomachaches!)
