I ordered my gown in September, should be in by mid February. I paid with a transferable deposit, just in case I changed my mind...since it was early. I fell in love with my gown, so I decided to order it, plus I wanted to see it in silver and white (only had purple and white, another reason I used a transferable deposit, just in case I didn't like the silver and white). But anyways, the gown has organza overlay and flower detail. I'm thinking maybe I should have gone more traditional with a satin gown. I like the detail...but now I think the flowers may be to large and not as formal as I want it....but I do still really like the gown, but I don't know if it's what I want to wear for my wedding...if you know what I mean. I think it's a very pretty gown but now I wish I would have got a more elegant and traditonal gown. I have other maggie's in mind that I like....but I am going to try on the gown when it comes in and see how it looks. It's a very summery type dress, which I liked too because I'm getting married in June....But I don't know..having doubts....
Just wanted to share with you girls....

Re: Debating my GOWN
I love that first dress. I definitely think it is very formal and elegant... to my taste, it is a bit more elegant than the second one, actually, but that's just me.
Remember, how it looks on a model in a magazine is not how it is going to look on you. You fell in love with it in person, so don't worry about how it looks in a magazine. You said it should be in around February. If I were you, I would wait until it comes in and then go and try it on again, and not worry about it until you can do that. You really have plenty of time if you then decide that you don't like it, but I don't see how you can make an informed decision until you can see it again in person.

I did like the dress on me and I think it is very pretty but I am not 100% sure this is the dress and I think I would be happier with a satin, more traditional gown...I'm looking at alvine valenta gowns...LOVE THEM and my bridal suite has them

I like your original choice. It is absolutely stunning. It's your choice, but either way, both gowns are beautiful. You have great taste!

Re: Debating my GOWN
I think i like the 1st one better... but the 2nd one is also nice. I think the 1st one is more original looking that the 2nd. & i think the 1st is definitley elegant and formal. But like other's said.. with the transferable deposit.. you have the choice to switch if you want to.. just wait until it comes in in feb...you have plenty of time.

Very smart with the transferrable deposit!!!
Both dresses are beautiful. I love the first one! I think the flowers are beautiful. I also like the second dress. See what happens when the dress you ordered comes in.

Re: Debating my GOWN
Thanks girls...I'm going to try this gown on and see how it looks. I really really like it and this is what I mean by 'elegant.' It's also in my price range!!! My orginal gown is pretty, no doubt, but I guess I just changed my mind....but I know ME....that's why I searched for a bridal suite with transferrable deposits!
I think it is very pretty and i think it looks formal enough

I love all 3 dresses but #2 and #3 are more my style. I don't know what kind of style you like the best, but if you paid with a transferrable depsoit I would go try on more dresses and see if there is anything that you like more.
Good Luck and let us know what you decide!

Re: Debating my GOWN
I LOVE the first one. It's different, and most importantly, YOU fell in love with it. Trust me, a TON of girls go through dress doubts and when they try it on again after their first fitting, they are in love all over again. If it gave you that feeling of excitement when you ordered it, then it's the one. You'll feel that way again when you try it on and it fits you perfectly!!

Re: Debating my GOWN
I would wait until the gown comes in next month. Try it on in your size and see what you think. If you are still having doubts, then look for another dress. Btw...v. smart with the transferable deposit. I'll have to keep that in mind when I go dress shopping. :)
