Debi, beachprincess, Don't Even Think of Looking Inside This Post!!!! Poll!!!

Sent the Shower invitations, Mon. No RSVP's yet.
So I had an idea, for the shower. Tell me if you think it's dumb; My feelings will not be hurt! Since it's a beach themed tea party shower, I thought of getting a new, long white insulated picnic chest, drape with new fish netting, and place some seastars/starfish, shells, etc., in the net. I thought the gifts could be put in and around, and Deb and Fred could use the chest when they travel. I would have really loved to buy a nice old steamer trunk, for this, and drape the netting, but discovered they're very pricey, in the hundreds of dollars. So, if you think this is a bad idea, suggest something else, or we'll use a table. Thanks!! Mary MOB

I think it`s a great idea!!! i am doing something similar for my DIY card box using a chest i found in AC Moore so i say GO FOR IT!!!

Just a thought....I think it's a great idea, but will she actually use the chest to travel? It sounds heavy.....I think it's great decorative and could maybe be used in the home but if your intensions are for her travel i'm not sure....

Very cute! And it might be better suited for a wishing well - all the wishing well items will fit inside. But really, even for gifts, if they are placed on either side of the chest ... still a great idea.
