Re: December Brides
since my wedding is new years eve and a holiday i am mailing in september beginning becuase the hotel locks out rooms end on november so if people are getting rooms there wont be a problem and figuring that will be enough time to know what they are doing for new years the room is 6-8 weeks. from wedding date.

Re: December Brides
My wedding is 12/13 and I'm planning on sending out the invites near the end of September. Even though I sent out STD cards, I'm still worried that people will have thier 'holiday parties' around that time.
Have you ordered your invites yet? I haven't, I keep changing my mind on which one I want!

Re: December Brides
Right now I've been looking into ordering invites, planning to register w/FH this weekend, trying to nail down a place for having the rehearsal dinner, and planning to look for a florist. Oh, and saving $$ like mad people! Those final payments are due in November for us... only a few months away, yikes!
What is everyone else up to this month?

Good Luck w/ the rest of your plans. I am also saving and saving $$$$$$.
I ordered my invites and they should be in about 2-3 weeks. Cantw ait. Collecing address of guests and finalizing parents guest list. That should be fun.
Still trying to determine what gift I am getting the BM's too.

Re: December Brides
I'm so excited, I have a post on the BHB board, but I'm posting it again here...I just bought my tiara, it's a copy of the one worn by Catherine Zeta Jones on her wedding day!
I also ordered the veils today! What a relief, I was getting nervous, because I had the dress ordered a long time ago, but I just couldn't find that perfect tiara until now!
My wedding is early Dec and I am mailing the invites our early Oct - 2 months in advance.
What else does everyone have left? I still need to get the wedding bands, marriage license, and hotel room for the night of the wedding - those are the big things.

Hello December brides...how are the RSVPs coming along. I've gotten about 40 back so far...thought I'd have gotten more, but oh well.

Re: December Brides
My wedding is on the 6th and I mailed invites out the last week of September. I have gotten about 1/3 of the responses back so far. I still have to pick a necklace and earrings, print programs and menus, wrap favors, pick ceremony decorations, get gifts for bridal party, confirm w/ all vendors.... whew! I am sure I forgot some things. It is going to be a very busy 8 weeks. I am also interviewing for a new job, so things are pretty hectic for me!

Re: December Brides
Hi Franksbride. How exciting - we are both the same weekend! I've had a few nos, but they were mainly people from fh's work who will be coming alone instead of bringing a guest. I'm actually happy about that because we just added 'and guest' as a courtesy. IMO, I don't want to pay for people who have no idea who either me or my fh are to be at our wedding. I thought of lots more things I have to do, but they are all smaller details that seem to add up. All the major stuff is done.
