I'm biased, but I LOVE the Crescent Beach Club, which is north shore in Nassau County - but right on the Nassau/Suffolk border. GORGEOUS. It can get very pricey, but if you pick a somewhat off time of year/day or something like that, you can get it for about $95pp. I'm paying $115pp (including an extra half hour cocktail hour) for a sunset reception on a Sunday in November. It's right on the beach, to the point you feel like you're on vacation on a cruise ship! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Definitely worth checking out! Speak to Denise and enjoy the wedding planning process!

I paid about $60 per person, plus tax and gratuity at Mediterranean Manor in Patchogue. They were amazing for our wedding!!! They treated us like family throughout the planning process. I highly recommend them!

Re: Decent price per person?

Price per head largely depends on when and where you have it. For example a Saturday in February will cost you a LOT less than a Saturday in May or June. Also, time of day also helps you save. Afternoon weddings are cheaper than night weddings. I was not able to spend the average of about $100.00 a head. I am well under that so if you need 'low budget' recommendations, feel free to FM.

From my shopping around, I know you can get decent deals at Watermill, Eastwinds and Miller Place Inn. The more pricier venues I looked at were Lombardi's on the Sound and the Old Field Club. Like a previous poster said though, it all depends on the date. I chose to push my wedding off to an off-season so I could afford to have my wedding at a place that I really wanted it.

East Wind : )
Depending on what you want and when you want prices vary

Once more - a shout out for the Hamlet Willow Creek. It is new, beautiful and has a menu that is incredible... WITHOUT upgrades!

The price is incredible. I am getting married on a Saturday Afternoon in May and I am paying less than 100pp.

It is in Mt. Sinai - which is pretty close to the North Shore.

I have only heard exceptional things about this place.

You should DEFINETLY check it out in person!

welcome to the site! happy posting! what is 'reasonable' to some is not reasonable to others, so i found it helpful to have my budget for the location set and to have my approximate guest number set before i went looking.

Hamlet Wind Watch in Hauppauge...I am getting married on a Sat night in November 07 and I am paying under $100 pp.
I feel in love with it the moment I walked in. Very cozy, warm - beautiful grounds - it is on a gold course. FM with any questions!

Good Luck....
