I am a newbie to this website- just got engaged last weekend! I am looking into different halls on Long Island, thinking North Shore Suffolk COunty somewhere- if anyone has any ideas for reception and also what is a decent price per head? Thanks.

Welcome and Congratulations! The Old Field Club in Setauket is amazing-we are paying $105 per person without tax and gratuity. Some other reasonably priced places include:Watermill, The Riviera in Massapequa, Westbury Manor-all very pretty and great food.

The Watermill is really nice. The outside cocktail hour is very pretty (was there for a wedding in May 2005) and the food was great.
The inside room was warm--- dark woods with a mahogany bar. I thought it was nice and my friend (the bride) said she got a good deal ($85 a person)
