WELL CURRENTLY WE WERE PRETTY MUCH SET ON PUTTING A DEPOSIT ON JERICHO TERRACE FOR OUR RECEPTION HALL. NOW THINGS SEEM TO BE CHANGING. ONE OF OUR FRIENDS TOLD US TO CHECK OUT THE RIVERIA IN MASSAPEQUA. WELL WE CALLED AND FOUND OUT ALL THE DETAILS AND IT IS MORE IN OUR PRICE RANGE. THE ONLY THING IS I FEEL WEIRD CONSIDERING WE TOLD SO MANY PEOPLE JERICHO TERRACE RIGHT AWAY INSTEAD OF WAITING TO TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FUTURE. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

I say look at Riviera. You may not like it, and there will be no dilemma, but if you do like it and it's more in your price range, what difference does it make who you told? They;ll find out if and when you send save th4 dates, or if they ask, you can ay 'actuaklly, we fell in love with riviera, so we decided to change.' It doens't matter what you told other people, what matters is that you have YOUR own perfect day, whatever that means to you. Did you look any other places besides JT? If you're thinking about switching and you haven't even SEEN riviera, I'd be concerned that maybe you're not totally in love with JT. Go with whatever makes your heart flutter, and everyone will see that happiness on your wedding day and no one will care what you told hem initially.

Dont worry about it. Originally, I left a deposit at Chateau Briand and I told everyone we were having the werdding there. Then I saw Westbury Manor. I got my deposit back and have now decided on Westbury Manor. Everyone understood; it wasnt a big deal so do what makes you happy.
PS- I almost booked at the Riveria. Its very nice.

Not to worry. We are women and it's our perogative to change our minds!
Oh, and before we booked Jericho Terrace, we told EVERYONE we were getting married at Leonards, b/c I was SO sure that was where it was going to be! I was 'so sure', I put it on my bio here and on theknot! I was ready to leave a deposit when on a whim I went to Jericho Terrace!
Yeah and we were 'so sure' on the date (July 21) that I had announcement/STD's made up. Guess what, that was a waste of $100! 'cause the date changed!
Lesson: Look at EVERY possible hall before booking! I looked at 12, THEN went to Jericho Terrace and North Ritz Club (which was OUT of our price range).

Definitely look at other halls and then weigh your options. Just do what is best for You. Good luck on your search.

I agree with what everyone else said. Take a look at the Riviera. If you like it, book it! Don't worry about what others may say. You have a right to change your mind. You have to be happy with the place. Good luck!

I agree with everyone else too. Go look at the other places. The most important thing is you are happy with your decision, you don't want to be thinking 'What if...'

My rents just went to a wedding at rivieria...the only thing that they didn tlike...was that the cocktail hour room was way to small...... I would keep lookin though....its a big part of ur wedding! Good luck hun!!

The Riviera is awesome-- especially if you are planning a wedding in the warmer months. My sister got married there and so am I-- I love it-- it is quaint, the food is good, the prices are reasonable, and they are so nice and accomodating. I hope my two cents help....

Go check it out. If you dont like it then, atleast you wont ever be wondering if it might have been a better choice. If you do end up loving it then atleast you would have found out you werent overlooking it

I think you should check out other places, but don't worry about going with your gut. I've always wanted Villa Lombardi's. I went to one other hall, and just knew it
