Hi. I actually purchased these in Pearl River in Chinatown. They have really nice ones. The picture is below. I bought a bronze color however. They are in FH house ready to be mailed. I purchased 150 of them for $100

pearl river is the name of the store? i'll definitely check it out, thank you SO much. I cant see the picture, are they thai silk or regular boxes?

Yeah ...it is called Pearl River. It is a hige store in chinatown that sells a bunch of asian things. I bought these in december, and I am sure they have lots left. yes, they are the thai silk. They are so beautiful. I cannot seem to get the pic up...aggghhh

WOW 150 of them for $100 i am definitely going...Thank you

Yes, girl...and I didn't even bargain with them...so if u go, perhaps you can bargain, and get a better deal!

i normally never do, but if i ask from the beginning i need 175 how much you sell it to me for then that is fine. Otherwise to say 'come on you can go lower' i am so bad at hahahaha

I know me too. I just told them that I needed 150, and the man said okay it will be $100. My MOH said if she would've went with me, she would've gotten them for less bc she claims that I need some bargaining skills...lol..I keep telling her she is so damn ghetto. i should've brought her ghettoness with me..ha ha.

I think you will get a good deal, since you are buying more.

I love the boxes and / or pouches in the Thai Silk Boxes site. Great items and it gives that luxurious look. Very nice!

Cool. Please let me know if you were able to purchase them. I was thinking of going after work today, because my BM's wants to take pics with parasols. so i may buy some there and have their names painted on. The ones i purchased were the thai silk in bronze and they even has a crystal clasp to it in the front. It really is prettier than the ones I've seen. very classy!

Re: Decorative boxes, invitation boxes or thai silk boxes

I have a question for you guys:

The invitation goes in the silk box...but what does the box go in? Another box? Where do you put the address and the stamp and everything?

what I did with mine is I purchased the silk box, and put the invitation on there. Then I bought some really nice mailing boxes and put the whole thing in there. I haven't mailed them out yet, but will do so by next week.

which ones, the thai silk or regular boxes. Many boxes are able to be shipped just that way...you put a shipping slip or cardstock with address on top, and mail it from the PO

Espo, you may want to be careful mailing them that way. It can get damaged, and then not have that nice look to it!

even that way of course costs more than regular invitations bc of the dimensions of the box. If you look at the last invite i posted(preshussmurf) its $2 postage

I think I liked the look of the boxes from the invitations you ordered but did not receive a little better.

You mentioned that you had a website where you can order inexpensive boxes in bulk. Would you mind sharing it?
