Dedicate Program / Memorial Candle

Dedicate Program / Memorial Candle

Did anyone dedicate a program to someone that had passed? How was it phrased and where was the note put in the program? we also got a memorial candle - not sure where that goes - the church, reception? If at the reception - where do we put it? I would rather have it at the reception if that makes a difference.

Thanks for you help.

We are using our memorial candle at the reception and it will be on the dais table where we're sitting. I haven't dedicated the program specifically to one person, but this is what I have at the front of ours.

WE LOVINGLY REMEMBER [FH'S MOTHER AND FATHER], AS WELL AS THOSE WHO WE HAVE LOVED AND LOST THROUGHOUT OUR LIVES. WHO, WITH THEIR OWN UNIQUE, INDIVIDUAL AND UNFORGETTABLE PERSONALITIES HAVE TOUCHED OUR LIVES IN SUCH A WAY THAT WE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITHOUT THEM. THEY ARE HERE WITH US TODAY, LOOKING ON WITH A SMILE, AND MAYBE A COMMENT OR TWO.
WE LOVE AND MISS THEM VERY MUCH.

I wrote this.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same.

The events of this day would not be complete without taking a moment to remember those who are not with us today.

We wish you could be standing here with us, but we know you are in spirit, smiling down on this incredible moment and wishing us well.

Thank you for all of the memories, we will forever hold dear.

You are in our hearts always; we love and miss you all

Those are beautiful dedications! I wonder if there are any poems or simple prayers that can be added as well.
