Definitely NOT love at first sight!

Ok so one day many many moons ago - when I was a wee lass. . . .

When I was about 10 or 11 a friend of mine invited me to her baby sister's christening party. SO, my mommy gets me a nice new skirt and shirt and I head off to the party ( I was the epitome of a girlie girl! ). Outside of the hall was a nice park. . . so us girls ( dana523 was there!) head out to play. . .
but there were these TWO horrible brothers there that TORTURED us. . . they wouldnt let us play any girly games, they chased us around. . .they even found a dead cat and kept poking it with a stick!! I hated those boys with a passion! They ruined my adorable new clothes, and put a million runs in my stockings!! They made fun of us and teased us to no end!!

Fast forward a million years. . .

Yeah, well you guessed it. . . that little boy was FH and his brother!!!! Turns out they were fake cousins with my friend from elemtary school . . . we figured this out years after we started dating when his mom brought up the party - how funny is that!!!

He was a horror and I got to witness it first hand!!!

wow tilde- that was 4ever ago! its cute thinkin bout those things tho...i love talkin to FH about how he remembers serving pizza to me when we were kids (he was prob 13, me 10) at the pizzeria he worked at....just goes to show ya, you never know how fate will work!!

I was working at a place in our neighborhood (docs office Dana523...u worked there too!) and i hated it. the boss was psycho..so i quit on her and was unemployed. I kept sending my resume to the docs office in Golds Gym bc i needed something desparately...

I go in for the interview..everyone is great. The lady interviewing me knows my uncle yada yada yada...i get the job...i come out and they introduce me to this guy in scrubs like he is important...no mind you i didnt even get to shake one of the drs hands but im shakin this guys hand and im like 'Great...one of these neighborhood a-holes'.

yup the a-hole was jesse. I thought he was hot at first and he was a flirt but seriously...i wasnt having it...and then..I just couldnt resist the temptation.

We had 'an affair' that we thought no one in the office knew...and yea. everyone knew! it was soo funny. they still laugh about it until this day. We thought we hid it for 6 months..n they knew the whole time.

YUP i love him...and SO NOT an A-hole....

That is so awesome that you guys met as kids!!! I wish I had a cool story like that. FH and I met on my high school robotics team. Needless to say that the team was full of dorks, and, yeah, he was one of them. I guess I was a dork too because I was the president of the team, but I was cute girl dork, not atari obssessed super dork. So anyway, when I first met him I really wasn't attracted to him. In fact I wasn't attracted to him for the two years that we were on the team together.
So then I graduate and for reasons unknown at the time, we kept talking to each other online. We'd talk for a few months and then stop for a few months and one day we were like 'we should hang out and catch up.' That day, I knew I wasn't gonna let him out of my life again.
Everyday I think that if my future self went back to high school and told me that I was gonna marry him one day, I would have slapped myself silly. It's so weird how things work out like that.

Me and FH met at CoCo's water cafe in Huntington, I was 18 he was 19. I literally walked right by him, he said 'excuse me' I turned around and he said 'can I get your number'...I gave it to him and walked away. Gimme a break I was 18 LOL. Well he called me a week later (yes I had to wait a whole FREAKIN week) and well the rest is history! For anyone who thinks you can't meet a decent guys at a club...I have to say that it's possible because I met an AMAZING guy at a club

Dh was the manager. He was 19. When I started working there we didn't really talk cause he had a girlfriend and was not 'allowed'
Little by little we started talking and had a little click of friends that we hung out with so we started to become really great friends. He eventually broke up with his GF and it became automatic that we hang out on the weekends. On an ordinary day he would bring me roses and always paid for me when we went out with friends. He was so sweet to me. After a year of his chase, I gave in and accepted a date on Valentine's Day 1999. 8 months later, we started dating ( I don't waste any time)
And about three months later.....we both quit! LOL

Janine ( wow this is getting confusing with the same name geez) - you poor thing you knew MY FH when he was the horror that i met that day way back when in elementary school!!

OMG, everyone has such good stories...Tilde, u are so funny with the runs in the stockings, lol

Mine is a little embarassing. We met in college, he was a junior when i was a freshman. i had a boyfriend at the time we met, but was a little interested in FH. We both played basketball at the college and the teams would hang out at the bars together, so we hung out a lot. I also played volleyball and the men's basketball team would come to watch the home games. But i would get so friggin nervous when he was there and mess up..literally, the ball would hit me in the face at least once every home game meanwhile, I had great stats at all the away games.
I was so confused between the two guys though. I was with the other boyfriend for almost 3 years before that. But, one day, he dumped me. I was sad at first, but started hanging out with FH more, and then we started going out exactly six years ago today So getting dumped might have been the best thing that ever happened to me, lol

That is the coolest 'fate' story... I so appreciate things like that.. FH and I have childhood 'fate' stories as well

ETA:

when I moved into the house where I grew up, it was a 2 story and there was a woman living upstairs who's nephew would come and sleep over.. (yes, FH, his aunt lived upstairs but we hadn't met at that point..)

THEN, my sister moved into a 2 family house and FH's family lived upstairs and my mom used to trip over his skateboards all the time.. we did meet around then, but not date..

THEN, he ended up transferring to my high school and dated a girl from my grade.. but we didn't date just yet..

FINALLY he came into a nightclub I was working in and we started talking and then he went off and was talking to some hoochi mama in a corner and I was like Oh Well.. and gave up..

BUT.. he did come back and see me the following week and I gave him another shot and the rest is history!!!
