I'm curious if anyone is delaying their honeymoon a few weeks or months due to weather.
We are getting married in July but plan to honeymoon in Thailand and Hong Kong. I'm nervous because July is the worst time to go there (too hot, chance of typhoons) and I'm considering delaying it until October...is anyone else doing something similar?

We are delaying one because of the cost of the wedding. Not sure when/if we will have one.

We are trying to decide where to go so we may have to delay because I want to go somewhere warm but don't want to get hit with rainy season and/or hurricane left over weather.

yea we are gettin married in october.. might delay due to hurricane season. but depends on where we go..we cant decide, lol :)

We are waiting also.. FH just got a new job and can't take vacation the first year so we will prob wait 2 months after or so

we are delaying our honeymoon until late december early january and our wedding is in november. FH will be in school so we are waiting for his winter break to go

Oh okay, so there are other couples doing the same--makes me feel less weird.
In my mind, one of the biggest drawbacks of waiting is having to go back to work the week following the wedding...but I guess I can deal with that!

My mom travels back and forth to Hong Kong numerous times during the year. She does always hate going in the summer b/c of the heat. She says the city is already so crowded that its difficult to walk but when your sweating from the heat, it makes it worse.

We aren't delayng it due to weather, we're delaying it because I'll be 2 months into starting my Phd program when we get married. So we're waiting until that winter or summer when I have a break.
