Oh wow I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Well, the people she is inviting...are they family? Or just friends of hers? If its family- then I can understand her wanting them to be there...but if they are just friends then they really shouldnt be there.
If she wants to go crazy inviting people, then she can pony up some dough and give it to your mom to help out. Can you ask FH to talk about this with her.... it really isnt HER bridal shower- its yours.
