Ugh his Aunt who NO ONE likes, not even her own children. She's one of the reasons we hired a DOC, to make sure she stays away from us haha

Honestly, I love all of FH's family! The only one who frustrates me from time to time is his Aunt. She gets annoyed when FH & I decline some of her events, mind you her kids for whatever reason are exempt from coming to things if they want. FH's mother passed away and there are many of times I feel like she tries to step into that role.. I don't know what it is just rubs me the wrong way at times.

my future brother in law and his girlfriend.he's the middle child and a typical 'Jan' (think brady bunch) and his girlfriend is so wrapped up in his money it makes me sick.
Both of them could seriously take a long walk off a short pier with cement shoes.

I really do love all of FH's family, but his sister has been getting on my nerves lately. I've been dating him for almost 9 years, and she really wasn't present for most of that time. She's really separated herself from the family, and even moved to San Francisco 2 years ago with her FH.They recently got engaged (a month before us), and they're getting married in SF in May of this year. She can't make a decision for her life, so she asks my opinion on everything. Which would be more than fine, if she'd ever take my advice!! LOL
She also asked me to be a bridesmaid, which was super nice, except that she ordered our dresses, and I still don't know what color she ordered. I guess I won't know until it gets shipped to my house at the end of March.
Again, it's not that I don't like her, I just think she's a little strange, and sometimes don't get her.
I guess I should just be glad we get along, and she doesn't hate me.

OMG this is going to sound awful but my FMIL and my FSIL. They're almost exactly the same peron... No filter, incredibly rude and ignorant.

This is why I love these boards. FH knows how I feel about his sister, but I can't actually vent to him, because she IS his sister. You girls GET IT!!

FH's one uncle who he used to hang out with all the time. When we were dating, his uncle (who is twice divorced) would make comments about how we shouldn't get married and marriage is stupid. Which annoyed me because it's not my fault he just can't pick the right people.
Then the day we got engaged, FH called his uncle to tell him and his uncle asked him if he was going to get a pre-nup. SERIOUSLY? THE DAY we got engaged. Who says that? Even if you think that, how about a 'Congrats' and then if you are really concerned (which he has no reason to be because well.. we were 19/20 when we met so what 'money' was I after when he was a poor college kid??!) then you say something later on. But not in response to the first announcement of us getting married.
Needless to say FH does not hang out with his uncle much anymore :)

This is so sad to say but no one from FHs family, just MY grandma!!She is NOT your 'can I get you some cookies' grandma... The stories I could tell would bring on a whole new website/board!
(And she is NOT excused bc of age, she is considered a 'young' grandma!! In her 70s!)
If I had one wish it would be for her to not be there! She stresses everyone out like we walk on thin ice and she's annoying and mean and VERY selfish. I still haven't gotten a congrats from her and we got engaged on Christmas.
The first time FH met her? He says 'it's nice to meet you' and she says 'it IS nice to meet me...'

My grandmother (who is 91 next month), is the most inappropriate person ever, but I actually enjoy that about her.
Imagine a little, 4'9', red haired, 91 year old woman asking my FH if he keeps 'her little diamond satisfied...you know, in bed'. She also loves telling us how until she broke her hip and my grandfather (who is 92) shattered his elbow, they still kept their sex life spicy. As she says, 'we're old, not dead'.
But hey, maybe inappropriateness is key to a happy life. They've been married 65 years this May.

FBIL because I still haven't met him, and from what I hear from FH that he's a total tool.Don't know if this counts, but FH's ex-wife. She lives a block from us, and is a See You Next Tuesday. Always meddling. FH says she's jealous. She doesn't get to be jealous. She's the one who left HIM for someone else.

I feel very lucky to really love everyone in FH's family. We all get along great. FFIL & I used to bump heads in the beginning but our relationship is great now. I love his sister like my own.

Hmmm this is a tough one for me... I have a sort of love/hate relationship with my FILs but I think it's because we're just so different. My family is more loud and outgoing than his (they are pretty quiet, don't say much) so sometimes I start to feel like I'm an alien or something when I'm around them. But, I have been really trying hard not to let it get to me too much because I know that I'm definitely a very sensitive person and I've been actively trying to let more things just roll off my back instead of getting upset (like I usually do!). I've been trying for three years to come friends with FSIL with no luck, but since I asked her to be a bridesmaid she's been really sweet and seems very excited. I feel like even his parents have been nicer and more talkative lately. At the end of the day, we only live once so I really hope we can all have a great relationship. The way I see it, I want my FH to live the best life he possibly can and be as happy as a clam so if that means I have to feel like an alien one or two Sundays a month for a family breakfast I can deal with that!
