Re: Waterfront wedding venues

We are booked with Lombardi's on the Bay. I FINALLY went to see the finished product this past weekend, as it was still under constructions when we booked. It is a beautiful location, however it is on the smaller side. We saw the room set up for 130 and it was just right.

Two of my best friends just got married at Lombardi's on the Sound and I absolutely cannot say enough about it. Another beautiful Lombardi venue. It is definately larger than their Bay location if you need more space.

We also looked at Land's End (which was super expensive) and Huntington Harbor Club. Also on our list was The Riveria in Massapequa, and The Old Field Club in Setauket.. but we never made it there because we loved Lombardi's so much

HTH- Good Luck!

I am going to a wedding at Lombardis on the Sound in 2 weeks, I'll be sure to take some pictures for you and let you know how it was!

ETA: CBC is absolutely gorgeous! Its pricey though I know. The food there is pretty good, not the best wedding food I've ever had. And the indoor area isn't as nice as the outdoor, so if it rains it might kind of kill the ambiance there IMO

i guess i could always switch to the one on the sound and still have that view - what do u ladies think?

Just to keep this in mind...when I went and looked there last month, I asked for all Saturday dates for the Spring/Summer. The first available date was sometime in September.

ETA: I believe that was only for Saturday night's though. Friday might be completely different.

Will they let you do that without losing your money?

From what you've been saying it really seems like that's the way you are leaning.

Why don't you and your FH take another trip there and see if that helps with your decision.

Good luck with your choice!

honestly - if you are worried about price, and thought VYC was too high- CBC is out. we LOVED it but it was way y out of range.

I saw Crescent Beach Club and LOVED it but not everything about it. and it was very pricey and they nickle and dime you.
I went to WaterView and loved the Banquet manager Jim! The room is blank slate which is great but I don't think it'll have the water view you ultimately are looking for.
Land's End is FABULOUS! I went to a wedding there 2 years ago and it was my second choice. I like Lombardi's on the sound because of the view but I really do not like the CH and RH room.

Have you tried Bridgeview in Island Park?
