i just wanted to say that, living on long island, you have made the BEST decision with your home. i am an architect and i also manage a development company where we buy 'beaters' on LI for about what you paid and fix them up and sell them for a profit. more people should think like you and ray and be willing to buy 'low' (if you can call it that anymore) and use a little elbow grease to make these homes what you want them to be. not only were you able to visualize what that house could become, but you guys are not afraid to get in there and make it happen!!...i wish more people like you existed on the island. that way, the 'middle class' people would not be forced to move off the island to make room for the 'upper class' anymore....

i would wish you both good luck - but i know you don't need it because you have much more than that between the both of you!!
