Nope.... I got a few cards, but no gifts. I wouldn't want them to spend their money on me for an egagement especially when they're going to be shelling money out for dresses and showers and hair, etc...

No they didn't. We didn't really get anything at all for our engagement. Both of my grandmothers gave us cash, but really, that's it.
I got one of those planners from someone, and a random teapot....but that's really it.

Yes , one of the Bm's gave us Lladro.
One other gave us a card.

We didnt' have an eparty. Only FH's brother gave us a gift, but he's also the only family member who's in the BP. Actually, my BM did too, but she's FH's cousin, and they were at he engagement dinner (not party) the FH's parent's threw for us. My MOH's are paying for the shower, so that's more than enough of a gift.

ok so i'm not the only one...and I actually didnt even care or think about it at all b/c it doesnt matter to me. but my mom mentioned to me this morning that she thought it was weird i didnt get anything from any of them. Then she puts all these ideas in my head, so I had to ask.

well we had an e-party and they all gave us something. but FH's bestman didn't even give us a card and he came to the eparty too. and one of my BM coudln't make it to the party but I saw her a few weeks later and she got us something.

yea we didnt have an engagement party either and no one in the bridal party except my sister got us something- and its not that we mind or needed a gift- but your right it would have been nice to have been acknowledged at least with a card.

No.....my MOH and her husband who is a GM took us out to dinner and MOH bought me a few subscriptions to bridal magazines... But we didn't get a gift from the whole party. We didn't have an eparty... We, personally, think that would have been a bit much to ask of everyone.

we didn't have an e-party, and got no gifts...but I made it pretty clear that I wasn't expecting them. In fact, I don't even really want them to get me wedding gifts...they are paying enough in attire, hotel, travel, etc, to be there, and we're all young (nobody working more than 2 years, if that)...

Hmm I love to give gifts, so I did when one of my friends got engaged and didn't have a party. Actually, me & my bf at the time took them out for dinner and drinks and we had a lot of fun.

No gift, no cards, NADA (except my sis who sent flowers)! I kept checking the mailbox every day after we got engaged waiting for all of the cards to come. I sent cards to my BP when they got engaged and nothing back. I have to admit, I was kind of hurt.
