i think that unified with the same color and different styles is a nice thing for you to do for your girls ... i would though try to keep within the same fabric ...check out davids, or i think ann taylor has a bm line

a lot of brides decide to let their BMs pick their own dresses and it looks nice. just make sure the purples are the same. by just telling them deep purple, they may find dresses in varying shades of purple...try narrowing it down to a designer and material so the colors will be the same and then let them decide on the style

Don't let the BMs jerk you around. You can unify with Bouquets as you said. But I do't know if you will find anything on the racks. I think they should be at least the same shade of purple. My BMs are also wearing purple. Even though the wed is 5 months away if you pick out 2 dresses (give them each an option between these 2). You'd be surprised...they can rush production.

Yes it is your day and don't let others talk you out of anything. I am going with a color I love that I know will look good on all my girls along with a style that looks good on everyone's body type.

heheh. I only have 2 BM's so I saw something two days after I got engaged, it was a good price ( on Bluefly) for $100 and I bought it. I did buy a few sizes for them to try on, but they fit fine and look good! They aren't typical bridesmaid dresses...I'll need to post a picture of them.

But they are flowy and pretty and my wedding colors, rose pink and brown...v-neck with rose sash...

but back to your question. Yeah I've been a BM 4 times so I know when my time came around, I didn't want to deal with all these different opinions...cuz girls are just that way...but it's up to you...you can't please everyone...and in the end you should please yourself. Your friends are BM's for you and yes you should consider styles that fit their bodies, but in the end, it's your vision and your day.

and now it's your turn and you can do what you want. MUHAHAHAH..
