Thank you for your honesty. I have spoken to everyone about this type of thing before, obviously they didn't listen to me. 2 weeks ago FH spoke to each of them b/c they kept upsetting me. And it still has been happening. Weather I say something or let it go, I'm the one who ends up hurt either way.
Sometimes I think people outside of our situation (wedding planning) just don't understand. They KNOW that the RSVP date on the invite MIGHT SAYYYYYYY 7/11/08, but they KNOW that it's a fake deadline and that you don't ACTUALLY have to give a head count on that day. You know what I mean? I think sometimes people (while really rude and inconsiderate) don't follow deadlines and don't really understand the stress that goes along with their inability to respond or rsvp or whatever.
I'm sorry you have the unadded stress - it blowssss. I dealt with something similar on a smaller level. Eventually I just thought - 'you know what? These are adults. They KNOW there is an actual deadline...they KNOW what they have to do. I'm just going to stop stressing, stop bugging them, and let them handle it.' I gave them more of the benefit of the doubt. They came through in the end and my stress was totally alleviated.
