Re: Is it your first time?............

I've been living with my FH for almost 6 years now. I moved in to his appartment shortly after we got together (yeah, we're one of those kinda couples ) and now we have a house just around the corner from my mother so it's like I'm living at home again..lol.

Nope, I lived on my own in college. After college I lived with a roommate until I got my own place in the city. I lived on my own for 3.5 years before DH and I moved in together.

I lived on my own for 1 semester!! Then I moved back... Im a home body!! My FH has a house and I will be moving in there. Listen, everyone has different experiences... that doesnt mean we arent happy with the choices we make!
I love my parents, I adore them. Its not a bad thing.

No, I still live at home also. I planned to move out but then I decided to save rent money for the wedding and our apartment together.

No! Sometimes I do wish I could have had an apartment alone and see how that would be, but I think I'd be super lonely and super broke!

I don't think there is anything wrong with going from the parents house to living with FH. You'll be a great wife and make a home with FH. I can't wait to register!!!

It's a major transition!!! We'll get through!

Re: Is it your first time?............

I lived on my own, well with friends in college in an apartment. When I graduated I came back to li to live with the rents and save up! Fh lives with his rents too but not for long. Tomorrow we are going to contract on a house!!!!! Living with our parents really paid off for us we wouldn't be able to buy this house otherwise. I think the transition will be okay since even though we technically live separate now, basically we live together since we spend most of the week at my house.

living outside off your parents household?

all my life i lived with mommy and daddy... so then i will be jumping from parents to living with FH when we are married..

this is major ladies !!
i never had a chance to be ME!!

I've never lived alone either. I always think of it this way, I am ME because of all the chocies I've made (including not going away to college or moving out afterwards). I totally get the freedom part but part of what makes you, you is that you have lived with your parents and most likely, I'm assuming, have a great relationship with them.

I never lived alone- I moved out of my parents' house a week after I turned 20 into an apartment with FH. To be honest, I love it and I wouldn't have it any other way. At first I was scared to be without my parents but once we moved in, I realized how close we were to them... the apartment is less than 10 minutes away from both of our parents' houses and I think I see my parents more now than I did when I lived at home!!

i've never lived alone, either. i moved from parents' house to an apartment with fh when i was 19 and have lived with him ever since. i feel like it might be exciting to move in together for the first time after you get married, though. it just depends on who you are.
