Re: need ur perspective (sorry kinda long)

Honestly, she's probably doing you a favor. Like you really want to deal with her attitude the entire week before your wedding? I wouldn't say anything. I don't feel it's your place, even with FH's and FMIL urging you to confront her. Besides, if it were me, I'd probably go off and regret it later.

And I don't think you should be embarassed in front of your family- if anything you should be proud that they are making such an effort to be there to support you! HTH!

I would call her myself and tell her you heard what she plans on doing and am kind of hurt by it....you wanted the whole fam to spend time together and wishes she would be there....she what she has to say and take it from there

I don't think you should be the one who feels embarassed. I think you should talk to her in a non-confrontational way and just explain how important it is to you and FH for her to be there. If she still doesn't come around, you probably are better off without her. It's just sad bc I know you have been having so many problems with people and your wedding. In the end, the most important people will be there for you

unless you have a good relaionship with her i would have fh tell it to her like it is... she needs to wake up and not follow her bf around and do whatever he says

Honestly you have absolutely no reason to be embarrassed. Annoyed, yes. But this is your time. Dont let her stress you out. If she wants to act selfish and not be there for you or her brother then you should just let it go. Have your FH say something to her directly if its bothering you that much but there are way more important things going on that you should focus on. Family from Israel, brother from Army!! Yay for those people! Stay focused on the good. Who cares if this little selfish girl chooses her BF over her family. You have a bunch of family that clearly loves you and FH. Stay happy! These trivial situations dont matter. What does matter is trhat you have the time of your life right now!

That's ridiculous. I hate when people act differently around/because of their S.O. My MOH is dating this dirtbag and she's been acting so sh!tty lately and I feel like it's because of him. She gave my mom and my other BMs a hard time about contributing to my shower and my bach. party.

If you feel like you are close enough, then maybe you can talk to her, but only if you can do it without losing your head! Sorry you have to deal with this.

If FH and FSIL have had a close relationship through the years, he should have a heart to heart. If she chooses not to come, so be it. You will probably be better off in the long run not having someone with a bad attitude setting the tone for the week. This way, everyone who is there can enjoy themselves and get to know each other that much more. All it takes is one rotten apple...

Sounds like someone has her priorities in the wrong place and has some growing up to do, but chances are, none of you will be able to fix that with a few conversations between now and then. But FH (and you) should definitely give it a shot.

I wouldn't get involved. You and FH can't control how his family is going to act. If they don't come to the wedding, oh well.
