Hey, My florist is charging me a $50 delivery charge, which I think is kinda crazy. Do I still need to tip them? TIA

Re: Delivery charge?
ALL of my vendors are charging a delivery charge, or a travel fee...yes i am still tipping them. The charge could be for gas, or time it takes to get there.

Re: Delivery charge?
IMHO, it depends. Most delivery people are not the owners of the flower shop, they are just employees. Those people should receive a tip. If it is the owner of the shop, then I would think twice about a tip because the money you are paying is going directly to them after costs.
BTW- $50 delivery charge is cheap. I've been quoted as much as $200.

Actually, I know people who pay nothing for delivery or $20 for delivery so that is why I was asking.

Re: Delivery charge?
usually there is a delivery charge already added in the price. I know I'm not paying anything because I bargained with my florist. Luckily, I'm in the business so I know how to word it.

There are two florists that I went to that didn't have a separate delivery charge. One told me it was built into the pricing, the other told me there is no charge. The other 6 I saw all quoted me a separate charge between $100-$200 for delivery.
