What place carries demetrios and doesnt charge a fortune for alterations? My idea of buying online isnt panning out due to the freakin pleated hem on the gown being a major issue

My FSIL ordered her demetrios from Burton's for a lot less than Macy's was charging. I think their alterations are supposed to be reasonable too. If you call them, they will give you the price of the gown over the phone.

According to the Demetrios site: Macy's, Lillette's, Village Bridal, Bridal Suite of Bay Shore, Bridal Suite of Centereach, The Wedding Center of Commack, Estelle's in Farmingdale, Bridal Suite of Huntington, Burton's Bridal, Paradise Bridal, Bridal Suite of Patchogue and Fantasia Bridal. Also some places in Queens and Brooklyn.

Macy's only carries Demetrios...ask them what they charge for alterations...not sure what they are.

IDK about Bridal, but I ordered my BM dresses from Bridal Suite in Bay Shore and they have an alteration cap.

I ordered my bridal gown and all my bm's gowns and fgs etc for a total of 18 gowns from Bridal Suite of Bayshore and my gown is a Demetrios....they do have a cap on alts. Definitely call and work with mary ellen. She knows exactly what she is talking about

I'm confused...I got my bridal gown at macys in Smithaven mall. I didn't realize alterations coulld be sooo much...How much are we talking here? THANKS!

my demetrios is from the demetrios bridal salon in macys menlo nj - i hear that their alterations are really expensive and there is no cap im going to guess that my dress is about 3 sizes to big for me (i ordered the smallest size they make, but still really big) so i have a feeling im going to get really screwed with the alterations

If you need a great seamstress FM me...I bought my Demetrios gown at Macy's Smith Haven Mall and am using my own seamstress. She's in West Babylon and I've been using her for years (I'm 5' short...LOL).

Whoa 200 is a great price for alterations. My cap at Bridal Reflections is 350. Remember that these prices dont include bustles!!
