Do any of you ladies know the range of cost for a Demetrios gown??
I don't want to spend a lot on a dress because I think it's silly! I found a dress by Demetrios that I love. It's just a little too early for me to go dress shopping and trying stuff on (for a variety of reasons).

I don't know specifically the platinum collection-- but when I went and tried on his dresses they were mostly in the 1000-1500 range.

ehhh definitely more than I want to spend, but what I expected them to cost...

I brougth a Demetrios Ilissa dress and it cost me $1300 but b/c it was a trunk show, I saved 15%. My dress cost in the end was about $1,100. I think it is crazy to spend more than $1,500 on a dress. JMO.
You and I are getting married at about the same time. You are a day after me. I don't mean to be pushy but I know that Macy's Bridal Salon by Demetrios told me it was a good thing to go dress shopping now b/c they can take up to 10 months to come in.

I tried on a bunch of them in Macy's Manhasset and they all started at $1000 but if you shop around I know you can find them cheaper. I did a few price matches with Charmet Bridal in Queens on Bell Blvd and they beat all of Macy's prices.

Demetrios can be expensive my second choice was a gown made by them and it was $1600, but it was beautiful, just way out of my budget.

ugh yuck! I don't even want to spend $800! Not because I don't have the money, but because it's sickening to me to spend that much on a dress! I have heard it could take around 10 months! Well, the main reason I haven't gone shopping for myself yet is because my younger sister who is engaged first is getting married before me and we are in the process of doing all her stuff. I want her to be a part of my dress shopping, but I can't shop yet because FH and I aren't officially engaged but have gone ahead with our plans. We actually have more planned than she does at this point, but we've been doing it all in secret so as not to steal the spotlight from her. She'd be really pissed if I started my dress shopping before her. She's a pain in the A$$ like that, and I'm trying to keep the peace.
