Deodorant Trial Results - Dove Clear vs. Secret Platinum Invisible

Deodorant Trial Results - Dove Clear vs. Secret Platinum Invisible

Now that we are into another round we have 5 categories over 2 days - total possible score of 50. I switched pits between today and yesterday for a fair trial.

The products are:

Dove Clear Solid - Original Scent vs.
Secret Platinum Invisible Solid - Mystic Rain

Dove Clear Solid:

APPLICATION: Went on dry an smooth, smelled nice at application - maybe took 1 minute total to dry (9/10)

WHITE MARKS: Although Clear is in the name it did leave some residue and small white mess, a disappointment in this area (6/10)

SCENT: Excellent, very, very nice. Did fade a bit during the day, but that is for another category (10/10)

SWEAT PROTECTION: Both days ended with a small amount of sweat and not total dryness, not super-strength (7/10)

ODOR PROTECTION: Althought the scent was excellent it did fade, and after 8-9 hours was totally gone allowing for some small amount of BO (6/10)

Total: 38/50

Secret Platinum Invisible:

APPLICATION: Smooth, very dry, again maybe less than a minute to fully dry and no residue at application (9/10)

WHITE RESIDUE: Simply put there wasn't any either day (10/10)

SCENT: Very nice, maybe slightly too strong at application, but certainly pleasing (9/10)

SWEAT PROTECTION: Awesome, was a strength against Lady Speed Stick, and it overpowered Dove in this area also (10/10)

ODOR PROTECTION: Either my co-worker was lying or the odor protection on the Secret side was well over 10 hours, impressive (9/10)

Total Score: 47/50

So, in a not too close contest Secret Platinum Invisible beats out Dove

Due to popular request I will not put Secret Platinum up against some type of Mitchum.

I use Dove and Secret (switch off once in a while). Dove today, Secret last week.

I used Dove for years and then all of a sudden it failed on me (VERY embarrassing

) I have been using Secret Platinum and it has never failed.

This trial is hilarious!!

I have always used secret... I tried to change once and my armpits like freaked out and started breaking out...never again! My body's ph likes secret so that is good enough for me!!

I have been a Degree user for quite some time...It is great most of the day but not wonderful toward the end. Yuck! I bought Dove to try to get away from that and well that was misrubble...Today I went out...thanks to this thread...to buy Secret Invisible but soon ran into a dilemma! I was faced with both Secret Invisible Solid as well as Secret Platnum Invisible Solid (*& olay conditioners)!

I couldn't remember which you had said was good. So faced with such a an obvious conundrum...I bought both. Has anyone used one over the other? Bad good?
