Deployments do s*uck! FH's best friend was married then immediately shipped off to Afghanistan for 18 months. Originally, they were all only supposed to do one tour but because of the continuing war (and our lousy prez, IMHO), 5 months after he got home - they shipped his azz to Iraq!

My thoughts are with you and FH!

Deployments do s*ck. They take what they can out of him, and just when he thinks he's done his time and gets to go home, get married, and start a life with his new wife, they send his tired azz back over there. And it's been 5 years now.

I really hope for a safe tour for him, and that you guys get to have the wedding and honeymoon you wanted beforehand. Best of luck to both of you.

Deployments sure do suck. My FH is coming to the end of a 15 month deployment to Iraq. These have been the hardest 15 months of my life but it has also made us stronger as a couple and brought us much closer together. We really believe that if we could get through this, we can get through anything.

Got my fingers crossed that you don't have to change your wedding and that your FH will be safe and sound.

I understand what you are going through and am here if you need anything at all.
