We put $2500 for the dep. but we figured it's better this way..
Atleast for us it is. Although it does sound kinda high..

Our first deposit was $500 in January
then we had to pay $1,000 in Feb, March and August...then we dont have to pay again until the month before the wedding.

Thanks girls! I am waiting for my BM to give me a call back to see if we can do 2500 and then oct 2500.. its a fri night wedding .. i think that sounds fair!! yeah those little things bother me as well ie. cigarette trays mats where you walk in etc.. ill make sure thats on the contract!..thanks

Chateua La Mer requires 1000. However 3 months from the initial deposit you need to make 1000 payments everyother month for 4 months. So eventually you would have given them a 5000 deposit.

VYC is similar. I had to put down $1500 and then make several more payments before the wedding. I think it works out to 6500 in deposits alltogether.

nope she just called back 5k is due by sun.. then 5k 1 yr before the date (the date is march 28th 2008) 5k 6 mo before 5k 2 mo before and the remaining 2 weeks before.. seems high but what can you do..we love our hall so I guess thats just the way it is! My BM told me the church and the music is next ..seems kinda early! any suggestions for a DJ would be greatly appreciated!
